Piazza is a free online gathering place where students can come together to ask, answer, and explore under the guidance of their instructors. With Piazza, instructors can easily answer questions, edit content, and track student participation. Founder & CEO Pooja Sankar was inspired to start the business by her experience as a CS undergrad at IIT - up until 6am stuck on assignments, seeing a random compiler error, or not understanding the specifics of the assignment question. Google and discussion forums failed her, and she'd sit in a corner of the computer lab, too shy to ask for help. She started Piazza so every student can have that opportunity to learn from classmates.
