Abhijeet Muzumdar

Abhijeet Muzumdar is a Vice President with BVP India in Mumbai. He focuses on investments in the consumer internet, cloud computing, software, mobile and financial services.

Since joining BVP India in November 2009, he has been closely involved with a number of investments. He helped the firm make investments in India’s largest matrimonial and match making site - www.BharatMatrimony.com (Consim), India’s largest e-commerce marketplace - www.Snapdeal.com, a real estate classified company – www.indiaproperties.com a software company that delivers applications as a service – www.anuntatech.com and a housing finance company - www.homefirstindia.com. He sits on the board of Home First Finance and is an observer on the board of Bharat Matrimony, Snapdeal, IndiaProperty and Anunta Technologies.

 

Prior to joining BVP India, Abhijeet was at Edelweiss Capital, where he worked in the investment banking team. Before Edelweiss, he worked in New York at UBS’ investment banking team and KPMG's corporate-finance team. Abhijeet holds Bachelors of Commerce degree from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics and an MBA from Adelphi University’s Hagedorn School of Business, where he was on the Dean’s list. He also holds Masters of Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
 
A little known fact about Abhijeet is that at Narsee Monjee, he won the Best All-Rounder in Academics and Sports Award for three consecutive years. He also represented India in tennis at the international level and was ranked among the top four juniors nationally. As a junior, he won several national level tournaments and represented India at the Junior World Youth Cup.
