Michael Horowitz
Michael Horowitz, an investor based in Bessemer’s New York office, joined the firm in July 2010. He focuses on investments in consumer internet, mobile, and software.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Michael was part of the founding team at Weather Risk Solutions, where he worked to develop a new commodity option based on the location of hurricane landfalls. Previously, Michael worked in the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs, where he analyzed investments across the capital structure. He was also a summer analyst with BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Portfolio Strategies Group.
Michael graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. While at Penn, Michael co-authored a research paper, “A Mutualized Risk Market with Endogenous Prices, with Application to U.S. Landfalling Hurricanes".
