S. Balasubramanian
S Balasubramanian, an Operating Partner at Bessemer’s Mumbai office, joined BVP in 2010. Bala focuses on capital structuring and fund raising for Bessemer investee companies in India.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Bala had been with the Vedanta Group, HSBC, UBS AG / Warburg Dillon Read, SBICAP and NTPC and has acquired close to two decades of banking experience mainly in the area of Project Finance and Export Finance. Bala has a wide sector experience that includes power (generation – conventional & renewable, transmission and distribution), oil & gas, transportation, metals & mining and telecommunications.
Bala holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management at Bangalore and a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Government College of Technology at Coimbatore.
