Dhruv joined Bessemer’s New York office in 2016 where he focuses on early stage investments. He gravitates towards opportunities in machine intelligence, autonomous systems and food/ag tech both in North America and Europe.
Dhruv graduated from the Jerome Fisher program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania with a BAS in Material Science and Computer Science and a BSE in Economics from The Wharton School. While at Wharton, Dhruv was Expert in Residence with Wharton Entrepreneurship and a consultant at the Wharton Small Business Development Center.
Before Bessemer, Dhruv spent time in a mix of operating and venture roles including data science at Inyenyeri (a clean tech company in Kigali), seed stage investing at Atlantic Food Labs (an early stage food/ag tech fund in Berlin), and leading the growth team at Fundera (a fintech marketplace in New York). When he’s not working with startups, he can be found enjoying Eastern North Carolina style barbecue, strength training, and being a SoundCloud maximalist.
