Jay Po joined Bessemer Venture Partners in 2014 as an investor in the New York office where he focuses on enterprise software. His investments include PhishMe, Weave, SuperPhone, and Kenna Security. In 2017, Jay spearheaded TechTavern, a program focused on sales and marketing to help early stage B2B startups scale revenue.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Jay studied sociology and compsci at Harvard. He has worked at two boutique consulting firms and a multi-media design company. His interests in tech, consumer insights, and social behavior led him to found a student-run tech start-up advisory firm his sophomore year. He also started a social platform for sharing crowd-sourced video playlists, a gift-giving recommendation engine, and a social app to build friendships in new cities. Among his many interests, Jay has bred snakes, played on the varsity Polo Team at Harvard, competed in pole vault, giant slalom, chess, and martial arts, and enjoys a Friday night game of poker or Catan.
