Michael Segal is a Senior Associate in Bessemer’s San Francisco office, where he focuses on early-stage investments in the consumer web, mobile, and e-commerce sectors. He previously worked in Bessemer’s New York office, where he worked on the firm’s investments in Adap.tv (acquired by AOL), Involver (acquired by Oracle), and KupiVIP.
Before Bessemer, Michael spent time as a product manager at Spotify. He also co-founded and led product strategy for three startups: a family-focused consumer hardware venture called Skylight; an online marketplace for top artisans called Curio Road, which was funded by top New York angel investors; and iStart.org, which was acquired by the Kauffman Foundation in 2009.
Michael holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, and a BA degree, summa cum laude, in biochemical sciences from Harvard College.
