Ott is an operating advisor at Bessemer and was previously the chief technology officer at Twilio, where he led the company's engineering platforms and architecture.
Before Twilio, he was an early employee at Skype, where he built and helped scale the engineering team to over 300 team members over the course of three years. Under Ott's leadership, Skype launched SkypeOut and grew the business into a $1 billion product line. Prior to joining Skype, Ott served as the general manager of the Software Development Business Unit at Helmes.
Originally from Estonia, Ott earned his BA in International Business Administration from the Estonian Business School and his MBA from INSEAD.
