Seed Summit 2020

We launched Seed Summit back in 2017 to connect and build stronger relationships with the seed investor community. As you all know as well as anyone, the seed investing ecosystem has grown so dramatically over the past 15 years and that evolution continues to amaze and excite us.

We hold this event each year to share our latest thinking about long-standing roadmaps and emerging ones. While we invest across all industries, stages, and check sizes, we use roadmaps as a core mechanism for organizing our thoughts and ideas, building conviction, assembling our internal teams, and ultimately to make investments decisions quickly and confidently. In the process of building a roadmap, we attempt to identify where a particular market is headed and what the characteristics of future hyper growth businesses are likely to be. (And yes, this definitely makes us the biggest nerds in the boardrooms!)

Our investment decision making process is highly decentralized in which each partner has the autonomy and flexibility to invest at any stage, industry, or geography. We are huge believers in conviction-based investing and in encouraging healthy debate, discussion, and conflict.

Thank you for attending Seed Summit 2020 in its adapted, hopefully short-lived, format! Although this year’s circumstances bring us together virtually we hope these conversations are as substantive as ever as we share our thinking across six new roadmap areas, discuss how this year has influenced our ideas, and highlight the companies we’d like to see emerge from this wild phase of startup formation.

If you’d like to get in touch with anyone from our team, please reach out directly.
