Biography

Erica Lockheimer is an operating advisor at Bessemer and the CEO & Founder of HumanizeHer, a platform dedicated to empowering women to thrive personally and professionally by redefining success on their own terms.

Erica brings over two decades of engineering and leadership experience in the technology sector. Most recently, she spent 13 years at LinkedIn, where she served as Vice President of Engineering. She led a range of high-impact teams including Growth, LinkedIn Learning (formerly known as Lynda.com), Glint, and LinkedIn’s Talent Solutions, playing a key role in scaling the company’s membership from 150 million to over one billion users. Earlier in her career, Erica held engineering roles at Good Technology, where she helped pioneer mobile enterprise solutions.

A longtime advocate for equity in tech, Erica founded LinkedIn’s Women in Tech (WIT) initiative, driving internal programs and external partnerships to support women in engineering globally. In recognition of her contributions, she was named one of the top 22 women engineers in the world by Business Insider in both 2014 and 2015.

Erica is a first-generation college graduate with a B.S. in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University, where she later delivered the 2018 commencement address. A Bay Area native and mother of two, she is passionate about building diverse teams, scaling early-stage initiatives, and fostering inclusive communities in tech.
