Biography

Lara Cumberland is an operating advisor and a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in M&A strategy, integration, and scaling operations for high-growth technology companies. She has led the evaluation, integration and value-creation of more than 200 acquisitions spanning AI, SaaS, payments, e-commerce, AR/VR, AdTech, hardware and security sectors.

Most recently, Lara served as Chief Operating Officer of Pacaso — the global prop-tech company focused on vacation home co-ownership — where she spearheaded cross-functional growth initiatives and global operationals. Prior to that, she was Vice President of M&A Integration & Strategic Initiatives at Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook), where she oversaw the integration of all global acquisitions for seven years and built out the company’s first team dedicated to executing strategic cross-company initiatives. Earlier in her career, Lara held senior M&A leadership roles at eBay / PayPal and IBM.

Lara partners with founders and leadership teams to drive value creation through disciplined M&A strategy, operational readiness for acquisition or exit, and repeatable scaled execution across functions. She brings the unique perspective of having served as both integrator (on the acquiring side) and operator (scaling business post-transaction).

Originally from Canada, she serves on the Board of The C100, a non-profit that champions Canadian technology entrepreneurs building global businesses. She splits her time between San Francisco and the Utah mountains where she enjoys powder skiing, live music, travel and time with her son.
