
Peter Faricy
Biography
Peter Faricy is an operating advisor and seasoned technology and consumer executive with over two decades of leadership experience scaling innovative businesses, driving digital transformation, and delivering customer-centric growth across public and private companies.
He currently serves as a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Company, working with growth-stage and enterprise clients across the technology, energy, and consumer sectors—bringing an operator’s perspective to strategic, go-to-market, and digital transformation challenges.
Peter most recently served as CEO of SunPower, a publicly traded leader in residential solar energy, where he led the company through a strategic transformation focused on affordable clean energy and sustainable operations. Prior to that, he was CEO of Global Direct-to-Consumer at Discovery, Inc., overseeing a portfolio of streaming services including MotorTrend, Food Network Kitchen, Magnolia, and Eurosport Player, and helping lay the foundation for what is now Warner Bros. Discovery’s global streaming strategy.
He spent 13 years at Amazon, culminating in his role as Vice President of Amazon Marketplace, where he led the platform’s global expansion, scaling it to support millions of third-party sellers across 14 countries. During his tenure, he launched more than a dozen new ventures including Amazon Handmade, Amazon Lending, and several B2C and B2B businesses that continue to fuel Amazon’s merchant ecosystem.
Earlier in his career, Peter held roles at Ford Motor Company and McKinsey & Company. He serves on the Board of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where he earned his MBA with distinction. He also holds a BA from Michigan State University.
