Biography

Robin Joy is an operating advisor at Bessemer and a fellow at Stanford University's Distinguished Careers Institute.  A thought leader on go-to-market strategy and strategic partnership, Robin brings a data-driven mindset and broad leadership experience from building global SaaS businesses. 

Most recently, Robin was the Senior Vice President at DocuSign, where she spent 11 years growing the world’s #1 eSignature solution. First leading Digital Sales and Marketing and ultimately as SVP of Global Alliances, Robin helped to scale the company from 150 employees to 7,500 and to grow from $30M in annual revenue to $2.5B. In 2018 she rang the bell at Nasdaq for DOCU, contributing to a successful IPO with a market cap close to $60B. Prior to joining DocuSign, Robin held leadership positions at Intuit, Caring.com, AltaVista, and Clorox. She is known for developing people and creating strategies that lead to sustainable, long-term growth while successfully driving quarterly results.

Robin has held multiple board roles including, serving on the Board of Directors of Acumatica, a rapidly growing cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, as well as serving on the Board of Full Circle Fund, developing civic leaders, and supporting nonprofit organizations to drive positive change in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Robin is a champion for women and serves as a mentor to many. She launched the DocuSign Women employee resource group and was the executive sponsor for 6 years. An avid traveler, Robin has visited 60 countries, climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, and biked from Prague to Budapest.

Robin earned a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford University. She was awarded a Rotary Scholarship to the University of Melbourne where she received an MA in Women’s Studies.
