There is no one better suited to build this future than Jacob Jackson, the founder of Supermaven. In 2018, from his college dorm room, Jacob Jackson created TabNine, the first deep learning code completion tool. Later, as an early researcher at OpenAI, he worked on distributed training for large language models. Jacob and his team understand what developers need, how to innovate quickly, and scale impact. That is why earlier this year, Jacob seized the moment and founded Supermaven to turn vision into reality.
Introducing Supermaven
Supermaven is the fastest, most powerful copilot on the market. Its 1m token context window understands your code base and offers the best contextual code completion at lower latency. Supermaven is also the first code completion tool to offer “next location prediction”. The ultra-fast model figures out not only what code to write, but where to write it. The tool can jump to locations in the code to suggest changes based on the context.
Today, Supermaven is also launching its new text editor. Developers can use Supermaven’s end-to-end IDE to build, test, and ship to prod. And the team is only just getting started.
Powering Supermaven’s products is a new neural network architecture. Relative to vanilla transformers, Supermaven’s architectures offers near-perfect recall across long context at tremendous latency and cost. Nearly every keystroke triggers the model, and battle-tested GPU infrastructure—optimized for throughput—powers its performance.
Supermaven is rapidly growing and winning the hearts and minds of developers. Every day, we hear feedback praising Supermaven’s uncanny speed—some developers have told us Supermaven makes them feel like they’re coding at 1,000 words per minute (wpm).

Talia Goldberg is a partner in Bessemer’s San Francisco office. She supports teams that leverage AI to create new categories and progress the way we live and work. She looks for founders building radically better products with unique distribution models, or those pushing the frontier.
Talia joined Bessemer in 2013. Bhavik Nagda
Investor
Bhavik is an investor in the New York office, where he focuses on enterprise software and data systems.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Bhavik was an engineer at Cruise Automation and Covariant.ai, building machine learning pipelines and user interfaces for warehouse robotics.
Bhavik earned his B.S. and masters in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He sits on MIT's Computer Science Diversity & Equity Committee and MIT's Center for Entrepreneurship Board. In his spare time, Bhavik enjoys running, hiking, and reconnecting with old friends.
Eric Kaplan
Vice President
Eric is an investor in the New York City office, where he invests across the AI stack from infrastructure, to data infra, to applied AI. Eric is drawn to product-obsessed founders across categories innovating at the frontier.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Eric worked at FirstMark Capital and Inspired Capital investing in early stage businesses. Prior to working as an investor, Eric was an early growth product manager at Via, a global provider of on-demand and transportation software. While at Via, Eric managed user funnels, account creation, and global payments. He started his career in management consulting at Monitor Deloitte.
Eric earned his B.A. with honors in philosophy, politics, and economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from Harvard Business School. At Harvard, Eric was actively involved the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
In his free time, Eric enjoys drawing, historical fiction, and Seinfeld trivia.
