Biography
Nithin Kaimal is a Partner at Bessemer and Chief Operating Officer of BVP India. He invests in AI-native challengers to the IT services, BPO, and KPO incumbents, companies that sell solved outcomes in complex workflows across healthcare, BFSI, life sciences, and other verticals with significant prevalence of outsourcing. He also leads Bessemer's investing in AI-first wealth management in India. He partners with founders from pre-seed through Series B, particularly those building across the India–US corridor, and is partner to Graph AI, Aivar, dCortex, and Pluro. Alongside classic venture rounds, he has a particular appetite for incubations, management buyouts, and control deals with significant room for value creation, the playbook behind Pluro. As COO, he oversees Bessemer's India fund and provides portfolio companies with services, resources, and strategic counsel.
Prior to Bessemer, Nithin spent over a decade in private equity, including IDFC Alternatives and IndiaRF (the Piramal–Bain Capital Credit JV), where he was on the founding team. He has co-founded two ventures of his own, in investment management and social commerce, and began his career at McKinsey & Company.
Nithin is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds an MBA from IIM Calcutta. Outside of work, he is a marathon runner, a competitive squash player, and a drummer, three pursuits he insists are the same discipline at different tempos
